What else ?

How To Play
Two dice are rolled every time a risky, dangerous, or uncertain Action or Reaction is attempted:

Action D20: The Player describes their Action and its Desired Impact. The Ref will Determine The Difficulty of success and the Risk of failure.
Bigger Desired Impacts mean greater risk and higher difficulties. Players may risk it all on one roll, or play it more cautiously. Next, the Player rolls their d20. If the result is equal to or higher than the Difficulty, they Succeed! If it is lower, they Fail & face the music... A rolled 20 is a Triumph, a rolled 1 is a Catastrophe.

Effect D6: The odds of success are able to be influenced, but there are always unexpected Effects that cannot be controlled. To represent this, Players also always roll a d6, to add a potential Snag or Benefit to the Action.
Snag: Rolling a 1 or 2 yields a negative side effect, consequence, or complication regardless of the Success or Failure of the intended Action.
Every time a Snag is rolled it turns up the Heat Level by 1 for the whole team during the mission.
Benefit: Rolling a 5 or 6 results in a positive side effect, benefit, or silver lining regardless of the Success or Failure of the intended Action.

Nouvel extrait !

Starship Scuffles
Phase 1: Red Alert!
Each Player announces which of the four Starship Stations their Character will control. A Character may control more than one Station, but that will make both Stations more difficult to operate. Or, two Characters might control a single Station making it easier to operate.

Phase 2: Make It So!
Starship Scuffles are just like regular Scuffles (pg. 4) except the Ships are the Characters. At the start of each Round, the Ref will determine How’s It Lookin? for the crew’s Ship vs. the Opponent’s Ship(s). The Helm may roll to determine their Ship’s Position for the Round.
When the crew attacks an Opponent: Each Character may attempt one action and each Station may only be used once per Round. Changing Stations is an action.
If the crew’s Ship is attacked: Small enemy ships may perform one action per Round, Medium enemy ships may perform two actions, and Large enemy ships may perform three actions per Round. For each action taken against the crew’s Ship, the Character(s) at the appropriate Station may try and resist it. (e.g. If the Opponent fires lasers, Helm may try to evade. If the Opponent hacks a system, Operations may try to prevent it. If torpedoes are launched, Tactical may try to shoot them down. If a miracle is needed, Engineering may step in.)

Phase 3: Damage Report!
Taking Damage: Damage usually goes to Shields first.
After the Shields are depleted the ship takes Hull Damage.
If Hull Points run out, the ship is disabled, adrift, and at the mercy of the victor. Ruh roh…

Hull Damage: Every time the crew’s Ship takes Hull Damage roll a d20 & d6 for an additional consequence:
1-5 The Helm Station… (System: Propulsion)
6-10 The Engineering Station… (System: Power)
11-15 The Operations Station… (System: Sensors)
16-20 The Tactical Station… (System: Weapons)

1 …Asplodes (That Station explodes and any connected Systems are totally inoperable until repaired)
2-3 …Fritzes Out (That Station and any connected Systems are now harder to operate unless it is repaired)
4-6 …Overloads (Any Character(s) controlling that particular Station take Harm to their Gumption)

Repairing Hull Damage: While Shields can regenerate after a Scuffle, Hull Damage is more serious and usually requires landing at an appropriate facility for repairs.
