2.) Vous en avez entendu parler où pour la première fois ?
Je furetais sur Drivethrurpg dans les PWYW.
3.) Achat compulsif, impulsif ou réfléchi ?
Je suis en pleine lecture du manga Demon Slayer et je me demandais comment faire en PbtA. Je voulais pouvoir retranscrire le récit de l’affrontement contre des adversaires super forts où les héros découvrent comment les vaincre au fur et à mesure de combats. J’ai regardé Hearts of Wulin et Usagi Yojimbo où il y a un peu cette idée.

Hunt For The Elder Gods is a Powered By The Apocalypse game with an interesting mix of genres. It is loosely a Cthluhu-mythos game, but draws from the general concepts rather than the texts. It is inspired loosey by the anime series "Attack On Titan." Mechanically, the title is an adaptation of Vel Mini's freeware game "Titan World." It's an "action anime, Cthluhu mythos, post-apocalyptic" tabletop roleplaying game.
Unlike most other games using the PbtA engine, Hunt For The Elder Gods is brutal. Player characters, called Pilots, start the game with 0 in all their stats and no moves outside of the Basic moves. There is no health system, instead the game relies upon the narrative effects of the Basic Moves and GM moves to put players into a deadly situation. Once a Pilot is near death, they must be saved or escape. Otherwise, death is swift.
If the Rookie Pilots survive a mission, they can earn a name and work towards advancing into more formidable and powerful pilots. Their Holds need them, after all, as these isolated communities are constantly advancing towards total doom in this desolate world. Survival is the main prize to be won. For every Pilot's luck will eventually run out and every Hold will eventually meet their doom. Every day that can be won back from oblivion is a gift. One sadly earned through the death of these brave pilots.
Hunt For The Elder Gods is a microgame and assumes familiarity with the PbtA engine. It does not re-explain concepts familiar to people well-versed with the engine. We do not recommend this title for players new to the system.
5.) Vous avez trouvé quoi ?
Cela se lit super bien. Ca tient en une quarantaine de pages (sans illustrations) et ça me donne l’impression que l’ambiance des mangas que je cherchais est là.
L’avancement des personnages se fait par l’acquisition d’advanced moves.
Il n’y a quasiment pas de setting.
